This fascinating work features a blue sky dotted with white clouds, where two stylized figures with enigmatic expressions, dressed in green shorts and red t-shirts, float. Their presence evokes a surreal scene, reinforced by geometric architectural elements that appear suspended in mid-air, in pastel shades of blue and pink. The atmosphere is both dreamy and unsettling, blurring the line between reality and imagination. A tree introduces a natural touch, accentuating the strangeness of the whole. Through its bold simplification of forms and intriguing use of space, this work invites reflection on serenity and perplexity, capturing the essence of the fantastic in a harmonious composition.

The work is presented on page 243 of volume II of the artist’s Catalogue Raisonné. It is an original ceiling tile from an installation created in the corridors of the emergency department of the Parc Imperial clinic in Nice.
