Oil on canvas, 15F format, titled on the back of the canvas. It is framed in its beautiful original wooden frame with key.
This work was exhibited at the Galerie Drouant (Paris) from March 17 to April 9, 1983 as part of the exhibition: Menguy, les Musiciennes. The canvas comes from Sennelier, and bears the stamp of this manufacturer and the date 1982.

A dreamlike and vibrant atmosphere emerges from this painting. Menguy uses, as usual, a bold colour palette, with shades of bright red and orange, which give his musician an almost incandescent appearance. The musical score that runs through the painting, where the notes mingle like a necklace around the young girl’s neck, seems to pulse to the rhythm of a silent melody. The contrast between the pink trumpet and the dark dress highlights the instrument, both the central symbol of the work and the theme of the 1983 exhibition.
