In the painting “Mysteries in Venice” I try to capture the enigmatic essence and hidden nuances of Venice, a city that lives and breathes mystery in every corner. With each brushstroke, I intend to highlight the unexplored and often overlooked aspects of a city steeped in history, culture and art. Using a bold and vibrant color palette, I seek to explore the dynamic interplay between light and shadow, reflections on water shimmering under a changing sky.

The use of the spatula is not accidental but intentional, to give materiality and body to the colors which spread across the canvas like the many stories scattered in the fog of Venice. This method allows me to construct rich, deep textures that invite the viewer to fully immerse themselves in the work, discovering details that only careful observation can reveal.
