EACH IN HIS TURN could be a metaphor for the role of parents: helping their children take flight one after the other. And it’s not that simple, sometimes even quite acrobatic. This matriarch or patriarch joyfully helps her baby elephants to see further, higher !!

I created a very rounded composition with a vanishing line, the baby elephant on the trunk which defies the law of gravity a little!!

It is a sculpture of a beautiful format magnified by a slate gray patina highlighting “the skin of the bronze”

• An absurd world, a human world, a world of humour. An univers of strange beings where man and beast were sometimes merges. A world that nobody really believes in, but that must continue to pursue its existence. Condemned to exist. By echoing the complexity of human relationships, by remaining alien to received ideas, the world of Sophie Verger has lost its point of reference.
